- Web Portal -Lexi
-
- Lexi has set up the front-end using Angular. It is currently running using mock data in place of actual sensor data. An issue with the back-end communication on local servers was found and we are currently implementing a fix for that issue that will implemented before our next round of tests begins over Spring Break.
- Text Notifications -Armando
-
- Using Twilio Armando has set up an alert text to be sent up after a threshold is met. This message can contain food, water and temp sensor readings with it primarily being used to get low temperature or low food emergency updates.
- Battery Issue’s - Ryan and Alexander L.
-
- Ryan and Alexander found that the idle power draw was exceeding 60mA and that a communication or sensor reading time would be ranging in the 80-200mA range. So as too radically reduce the battery consumption in idle we found that the ESP board was not actually being put in a sleep state the way we were using the board and it’s rest() features, After doing a correct implementation of rest features our power draw was brought well below 20mA and extends our battery life multiple fold.
- Heat Sensor - Amine, Alex
-
- The heat sensor and weight sensor are now both in the same interface and ready to be deployed for testing over the next week’s so that a full run in the Coop can be done on Spring Break.
Plans for the next weeks:
- Front-end - Lexi, Ryan
-
- Push Notifications - Armando Vila
-
- Use Live Data in updates.
- Run Trials and Peer Evaluation Presentation - Alex G, Amine
-
- Getting the results of the water temp sensor to be read out to the board an added to the data sent will done.
- Adjust for results from trials - Alexander, Ryan
-
- Making any modifications necessary to adjust device functionality based on results from trials.
Pending Issues:
- Database not being able to be reached - Lexi
